Adventure in Atlas and Sahara - 8 days

Day 1: Marrakech

Transfer from the airport of Marrakech to your Hotel or Riad. Free time. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ouzoud – Bin el Ouidane – Imi N’fri

After breakfast, assisted by our guide, we will head towards the Cascadas de Ouzoud. Located 167 km from Marrakech, in the Middle Atlas, they are one of the most beautiful attractions in Morocco. You will enjoy all the senses of this beautiful place with its 110 m waterfalls. Lunch (optional) in the area. In the afternoon we will go towards the lake of Bin El Ouidane where we will observe huge oak forests that surround the rivers under the mountains. We will continue to Imi n’Ifri. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3: Imi In’Fri – Kella M’Gouna – Tinghir 

Breakfast. We will continue our journey through the Middle Atlas to reach the small and beautiful Kella m’Gouna, an oasis in the Dades Valley known as the “Valley of Roses”. Lunch (optional). We will continue to Tinghir and visit the magnificent Gorges of Todra with rock walls up to 250 m high. Dinner and overnight in Tinghir.

Day 4: Tinghir – Rissani – Erfoud – Merzouga

Breakfast. Departure to Erfoud through Errachidia, administrative capital of the region, located between the Middle Atlas and the Sahara desert. Lunch (optional) in Erfoud, known for its fossil deposits. In the afternoon we will head towards Merzouga to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the dunes in the desert. We will spend the night in a camp, enjoy the Berber food under a starry night and sleep in a traditional nomadic tent.

Day 5: Merzouga – Alnif – Tazzarine – Nkob – Zagora

We will wake up very early to see the spectacular sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, we will return with the camels to our vehicle and start the route to Zagora, passing through Alnif and Tazzarine, a small Berber village, crossing the Sargho mountains. Optional lunch in Nkob. Arrival in Zagora. Free time. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 6: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Breakfast. Departure to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, also called “La Puerta del Desierto”. Panoramic visit and stop at the Kasbah de Taourirt. Following our journey we will visit the impressive Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, considered a World Heritage Site by Unesco since 1987 and which has served as a setting for well-known world cinema films. Lunch (optional). Then we will continue towards Marrakech. Arrival, dinner and accommodation.
 

Day 7: Marrakech

Breakfast. Free time to visit Marrakech, the second oldest city in Morocco. Founded in 1062, it became the capital of the Islamic world. It is an unmissable destination for travelers who feel passion for history, religious heritage and cultural spaces. You can not miss visiting the Jamaa el Fnaa Square, the Koutubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs or entering the Medina and strolling through the labyrinth of alleys that make up the famous souk of Marrakech. You will have the possibility to dine optionally in the famous restaurant “Chez Ali” with performances of different Moroccan folk groups.
 

Day 8: Marrakech

Breakfast and transfer to the Airport.
